Diploma in Financial Management is a ten-day program that focuses on skills and techniques to enable participants to make better-informed financial decisions and how to plan more effectively for the future.  In today’s highly competitive environment, solid financial management is pivotal to any organizations long-term survival.  As “doing more with less” becomes the norm, it is becoming increasingly necessary for frontline staff, supervisors and those who make decisions to stay focused on the bottom line.  Effective financial management requires all individuals responsible for preparing and/or monitoring financial information to become more effective in the financial aspects of business. 

Who should attend: Anyone who works in the financial/bookkeeping/accounting field and wish to increase their understanding of the day to day business of financial management. 

Level 1 is a recommended course of study for frontline supervisors and managers who often find they are responsible for some aspect of the \"financials\" within their area of the organization

While each workshop is a “stand alone” module resulting in a Certificate, all 4 modules are mandatory for the Diploma in Financial Management. This course does not have to be taken in order however it is recommended.

Level 1:

Basic Accounting Made Easier - this 3-day seminar helps demystify the basics of assets, liabilities, equity, revenue and expenses.  Participants will work on problem solving exercises, case studies, and discuss their particular accounting issues to increase their understanding of the subject.

Level 2:

Budgeting Basics and Costing Conundrums – during this 2-day seminar participants will gain a better understanding of the planning aspect of financial management, including cash flow projection and forecasting to help with profit/loss and capital.

Level 3:

Beyond Basics – Intermediate Accounting – This intensive 3-day course is designed to increase the participant’s ability to analyze and understand advanced finance and accounting practices including the impact of profitability, growth and performance improvement as it pertains to their organizations.

Level 4:

Advanced Financial & Managerial Accounting via Financial Statements – A two day seminar to provide participants with a basic understanding of financial statements, cost analysis and what to look for, the impact of profit/loss that result in financial stability/instability, and the significance of what isn’t on the statements.
