About BEC Membership
The main benefit of joining the BEC is access to professional consulting and advice on Employee grievances as they arise, from Immigration Issues, Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbooks, Negotiation & Collective Bargaining Agreements, and to Mediation and Arbitration, if necessary.
We also publish annual Salary Surveys (FREE to member companies who participate in the survey), Employee Benefit Survey’s, and will gladly conduct Mini Surveys should you have a specific area to investigate.
Membership Information reports are published throughout the year from Immigration policy changes to new Acts or laws that affect the business community. We hold regular meetings with the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, Government technical staff and our Board of Governors to discuss policy changes and raise concerns that our members may have. We also publish special reports on specific topics such as Maternity Leave, Interviewing etc.
We also offer an extensive selection of forms such as Personnel forms, Absentee Calendars and Public Holiday forms.
As an added value to your membership, Training & Development is offered at a reduced fee. In October of every year we publish a Training Guide that is distributed Island-wide. We take great care in listening and providing requested courses. Approximately 52% of our members take advantage of the training on offer. You can attend our public seminars or hold a closed session at our or your location. We pride ourselves with the talented local and international trainers that work through the BEC. We are long-standing partners with Cornell University of New York and provide HR and LR Certificate programs with Cornell lecturers traveling to the Island. Our ISO 9000 programs with C.E.U Continued Education Units are always a popular choice for gaining credibility and certification in Administrative, Supervision, Management and Accounting courses. We have educational videos and DVD's available for rent, and our fully equipped training facility is available for a minimal cost to our members.
